Fiction Facing Facts (1993)
Recorded between Love Gone Wrong going wrong and my leaving Australia in early 1989, this album was in limbo for 4 years until it was eventually mixed and released on Twang! Records in Berlin. I carried the multi track tapes with me from Sydney to LA to NYC to London until I finally got into a studio in western Germany to mix the songs. I watched as the oxide from the last of the three tape reels scraped off on the recording machine heads. Oh dear. It wasn't widely known then that you had to bake tapes of certain generation before use. Repairs were made. The album was finally finished. But, what a journey.
